On 30 Oct, FMG organized a webinar on the recent UNCTAD Report “Measuring servicification and impacts of services trade and policy” (https://unctad.org/publication/measuring-servicification-and-impacts-services-trade-and-policy). This session was moderated by Sherry Stephenson, FMG Board member and international trade economist specializing in services trade.
At this session, Luz Maria de la Mora, Director of UNCTAD’s Division on International Trade and Commodities introduced this report, and then Bernard Hoekman, FMG member and Professor and Director, Global Economics at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, European University Institute; and Christian Volpe Martincus, Principal Economist at the Integration and Trade Sector of the Inter-American Development Bank shared their comments as discussants.
Nearly 40 participants joined the session, including FMG members, Ambassadors/DPRs of major WTO members, experts from relevant international organizations and international think tanks, and professors from relevant universities.
