FMG Announces Succession of Board Chair and Vice Chair

As approved at the FMG Annual Board Meeting and General Assembly 2026, Hamid Mamdouh succeeds Mia Mikic as the next Chair of Board while Mercedes Araoz succeeds Mario Matus as the next Vice Chair. The appointments take effect immediately upon the conclusion of the 2026 General Assembly.

Hamid is a Senior Counsel at King & Spalding LLP and former Director of the WTO Trade in Services and Investment Division. Mercedes is Professor of International Economics and Public Policy at Universidad del Pacifico, Lima, Peru and former Vice President of Peru.
