Dr. Wenhua JI is a Professor at the School of Law, University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Beijing, China.

His research focuses on international economic law, international commercial transactions and dispute resolution, and global economic and trade governance. Prof. JI holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Shanghai Jiaotong University, China; a master’s degree in law from Fudan University, China; and a doctorate in law from Peking University, China. He has written extensively in Chinese and English on international trade, commercial transactions and the WTO dispute settlement system. He is the co-chair of the WTO Chairs Programme at UIBE. He also holds academic positions such as UNIDROIT Correspondent for China and Standing Council Member of the WTO Law Research Society of the Chinese Law Society, and is a member of SIEL (Society of International Economic Law). He has previously worked in the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Chinese Mission to the WTO as a legal officer and a division director. He has been involved in the legislative process of several laws and regulations on trade and investment in China.
