On May 23, Prof. Xiankun LU, CEO of Friends of Mutilateralism Group, together with some other members of FMG, had an informal meeting with Michele Ruta, Deputy Division Chief in the Strategy and Policy Review Department of IMF and Martin Sommer, Deputy Chief in the Regional Studies Division of the IMF’s Middle East and Central Asia Department at the WTO. They discussed about the challenges facing the WTO, the situation of WTO reform after the 13th Ministerial Conference (MC13), and recent IMF report on industrial policies.
On May 21, Prof.Xiankun Lu and Clemens Boonekamp also attended the IMF Seminar on “Industrial Policy and Trade” at the WTO.
