On 29 July, CUTS International organized an webinar entitled “The Developing World at the WTO: Systemic Interests and Reform Agenda”.
Pradeep Mehta, Secretary-General of CUTS and FMG member gave welcome remarks and moderated this webinar. Then FMG members including Xiankun Lu, CEO of FMG, Victor Do Prado, FMG member and former Director of the General Council and Trade Negotiations Committee of the WTO, Ujal Singh Bhatia, FMG member and former Ambassador of India to the WTO, Trudi Hartzenberg, FMG member and Executive Director of Trade Law Centre for South Africa, and Rajesh Aggarwal, FMG member and former Chief of Trade Policy at ITC participated in this webinar and shared their insights on historical perspectives about major developing countries’ engagement at the WTO, and how they influence various aspects of the WTO’s functioning and reform agenda today.
