FMG Online Brainstorming on US-EU-China Interactions for WTO Reform

On Feb. 17^th 2021, the Friends of Multilateralism Group (FMG) has organized a virtual brainstorming titled “US-EU-China Interactions for WTO Reform”. FMG member Hamid Mamdouh moderated the meeting.

 

Three speakers, Jennifer Hillman, former member of WTO Appellate Body, Hervé Jouanjean, former senior official of DG Trade and DG External relations of the European Commission, and Hong Xiaodong, former Director-General of the Department of WTO Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce of China shared their insights on the perspectives of the three members on WTO reform and how these major players may interact among and beyond themselves to achieve meaningful outcomes of WTO reform.

 

Forty-odd participants including members of FMG, Friends of FMG and Punta del Este Group (PEG), ambassadors of WTO members, and representatives from related international organizations and institutions, joined the discussions.
