On June 30, Professor Xiankun Lu, CEO of the Friends of Multilateralism (FMG) was invited to join the panel for the discussion on “The growing appeal of the BRICS group” held by China Global Television Network (CGTN). The discussion mainly focused on the economic development of BRICS countries, the opportunities and challenges, and the upcoming BRICS Summit in South Africa.
The panel was moderated by Liu Kun, CGTN Host. Other panelists include Reon van der Merwe, Regional Programs Associate for the Southern African Youth Forum; Renato Baumann, professor at the Department of Economics, Universidade de Brasília; and Dr. Dai Yonghong, Director, Institute of Global Governance and Area Studies, Shenzhen University, China.
